When we fear punishment or isolation from God for our misdeeds, it is because we do not understand His everlasting love. Unfortunately this misdeed-punishment scenario might fit examples of "love" you have seen or experienced on earth, but this is fallen, imperfect "love." Our Enemy has done a great job of teaching us to project onto God what we see in society, but this is flawed. God's ways and thoughts are higher than our own (Isaiah 55:8-9). So too is His love. His love is perfect, pure, everlasting . . . and UNconditional. He loves you. That will never change, adjust, alter. It is constant just as He is constant - He never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Stop condemning yourself, thinking God is upset or angry with you. Instead, ask Him to show you His love for you and pray for Him to help you receive the fullness of His love.
